We Got The Rock, We Got The Rock Hey!

For you Olympus alumni out there (or Skyline), you're familiar with the Battle of the Rock. For others of you, that's the annual, rivalry football game between Skyline and Olympus. We basically battle over this big rock and whoever wins has a BIG assembly to celebrate and they get to keep the rock at their school the remainder of the year and paint it either green or blue depending on the outcome... obviously. Last night, Oly sealed their 3rd consecutive victory over the Eagles in an intense game that went into overtime. Oly scored on a touchdown pass in OT and Skyline responded with a fumble. Scott had a great game and I was so proud of him and their whole team. It was a great victory and because of the win, they are officially region CHAMPS...Go

Channel 5 dropped in cause it was the game of the week.

I was so nervous at the start!

Matt and Masha were there supporting her brother, Zach

Victory for the Titans!

September

The start of September was exciting. Zach's sister Candace rushed and got a bid from Chi Omega; my alma mater (of sororities)! Now we're sisters twice over. I was glad to see the Chi Os are still the same amazing girls they've always been. Congratulations Candace!

Utah Football Begins

September 24th was my friend Kimber's birthday. The night before her hubby got a few of us girls together to surprise her. We picked her up from dinner in a limo, and went to Wiseguys comedy club which ended up being a great first time experience. Kimber got harassed a little bit by the comedian which made the night that much better... I love ya K. Walt! It was a great night; cheers to our 17 years of friendship and many more to come!

Sweet Victory

I should admit, unlike my husband, I did not foresee a Utah victory in yesterday's game, but I am definitely eating my words after last night's blowout. I was so happy BYU got destroyed on their home turf! What a great victory for the Utes!

Oh, Those Summer Nights

I was so happy we were finally able to make it up the canyon this summer to roast marshmallows and starbursts. We had a great time up there with the Mulcocks, at least until the po po kicked us out. Just glad we had enough time to make some tasty s'mores!

Celebrating Two Years!

August 5th was our second wedding anniversary, and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! And what better way to celebrate our anniversary than by attending a wedding. It was my cousin Robbie's wedding and he and his beautiful bride were married in the Manti temple. For those of you who have not been to the Manti temple I definitely recommend making the trip out there. I honestly think it's one of the prettiest temples I've been to. It almost feels like a castle. I knew it was in Manti, UT and I was aware of how small a town it is, but I was in awe driving up to it. It's just this massive structure in the middle of nowhere and it is absolutely beautiful. Sorry, our camera dates are a day off...

Robbie and Cara newly married

After the wedding luncheon Zach and I headed down to St. George for the weekend with his family. Friday night we went to the Tuacahn Theatre to see The Little Mermaid- which had the best scenery ever! Then on Saturday we went back and saw Grease. They both were so much fun to watch! Watching Grease brought me back to my senior year of high school when my friends and I were dancers in our high school's musical of Grease. Good times!!
I made Zach stop in Richfield so we could go to Ideal Dairy for their famous (to the locals) "Slush" drinks

Candace and Samantha brought their cute friends

The following Monday we decided to go to our favorite restaurant to really celebrate- Ruth's Chris!! When they sat us at our table this is what we saw.... The card says "Happy Anniversary".

Just setting the mood...

They gave us a free dessert too... I'm laughing cause I wanted to hold up the plate so you could read the writing but then the bananas started to fall off.

Thank you Ruth's Chris for treating us to a great anniversary dinner!

Two years later... It has been such an adventure being married. I am so grateful for Zach. He makes me better in every way. Thank you for always being so positive, especially when I tell you I'm just being a realist. I love you so much and can't wait for the years ahead!

It's What Fun Is...

The other week we went to Lagoon for the evening with Zach's extended family. It has been a few years since either of us had been there and there were a few new additions, including Wicked which I loved, but Zach was still partial to Colossus. I don't know how my parents use to take us for a full day during stake Lagoon day... that's just way too long to be there! A nighttime trip was the perfect amount of time. It gave us plenty of time to go on all the rides we wanted to and even hit up the 3-point challenge just before the park closed.

I prefer this ride on top of the Stratosphere in Vegas....

This has always been one of my favorites... only if you get the end seat though

Log ride, which we had nice wet shoes afterward!

This was in front of the Wicked sign, but when we tried to get it in the picture you couldn't see us
